Each year, the DSA music department hosts the "Pork Before The Turkey" fundraiser before the November break. Music students are encouraged to sell at least one pork butt to help support our program. Funds raised cover essential needs like instrument tuning, repairs, replacements, sound equipment, sheet music, performance fees, MPA fees, and more. Every dollar in profit goes directly to supporting our talented music students!
$40 for one fully smoked pork butt, estimated at around 10 lbs each (exact weight may vary based on cooking).

Pick-up will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 4:00–5:00 p.m. (Choose your preferred pick-up date when completing the online order form.)
Please bring something to transport your pork butt, such as a cooler, towels, or a clean garbage bag. The pork will be hot, as it’s taken directly off the smoker when you arrive!
Pick-up is by the garden at Davenport School of the Arts. Enter the parking lot, turn left, and drive toward the fence past the car loading zone. You’ll see—and smell—the smoker!
Yes! If you’re traveling or planning to enjoy the pork later, it freezes well. Seal it in freezer bags in portion sizes that work best for your needs. When you’re ready, just thaw a portion, and you’ll have delicious pork ready for sandwiches or dinner!
